Welcome to the new website of Kildare pool association. We will be endeavouring to keep you informed of all events and pool news throughout the county as they occur. The object of our association is to promote the game of pool as a competitive mainstream sport and to create a series of events in Kildare for all players regardless of age. 

We are a non profit organisation and originally came together to compete in the all the all Ireland inter-county team championship.

We have recently expanded to create a single ranking tournament circuit with monthly competitions being played in a variety of venues in Milltown, Newbridge and Kilcullen. It is planned to expand this circuit shortly to include Naas, Kildare and Athy.

It is hoped to attract sponsorship for these high profile events, which will provide the cream of Kildare pool alongside local pub players battling it out for supremacy. 

Our new base will be C.Y.M.S., Eyre St., Newbridge, where three top of the range tournament style tables are currently being installed. This alcohol free environment will provide us with an ideal atmosphere to attract junior players with a view to entering a youth team into the inter-county championship mentioned above. Coaching will also be available. It is also hoped to enter ladies team eventually, and ladies are welcome to get involved at committee, competitive or just fun playing levels. 

All our competitions are open to the public and new players are always welcome. There are no age limits apart from pub tournaments which must comply with the law.
